FAQs

Our frequently asked questions about our Culinary holiday in Spain – Let’s Eat Seville

The main language of the program is Spanish, but your chef and language instructor are fluent in English and will provide support when needed, especially during cooking sessions and cultural visits.

We recommend a B1–B2 level of Spanish — this is essential to fully enjoy and participate in the experience.

At this level, you are already able to:

  • Use past tenses (pretérito perfecto, indefinido, imperfecto) to describe past events and experiences

  • Express ideas using basic subjunctive structures (e.g. “quiero que vengas”, “espero que disfrutes”)

  • Understand and use simple conditionals (e.g. “me gustaría probar eso”, “si yo fuera tú…”)

  • Follow explanations, instructions and conversations in Spanish

  • Talk about your daily life, plans, opinions, and interact naturally in real-life situations

This is not suitable for beginners. To get the most out of this immersive experience, you’ll need a solid foundation and the ability to communicate in Spanish for several hours a day — both in class and during activities.

If you’re at that stage: ¡Bienvenid0/a! You’re going to love it.

You’ll book a 20-minute Zoom session with our language expert, Cristina from SevillaEle. During the call, she’ll ask you a few simple questions to check if your Spanish level is the right fit for this immersive program.
It’s relaxed, friendly, and designed to make sure you’ll get the most out of the experience.

Not at all! This program is for food lovers, not professional chefs. Just bring your curiosity and appetite for Spanish cuisine.

Absolutely! Many participants travel solo and enjoy the shared group experience.

Yes, while we can not guarantee a shared room to our solo travelers if you choose a shared room option, we will match you with another interested solo traveler of the same gender. As stated, it is not something we can guarantee but we will do our best to accommodate your request.

The closest airport to Seville is Seville Airport (SVQ), also known as San Pablo Airport. For more options, Malaga Airport (AGP) is another good choice, albeit a bit farther away. You can also arrive at Madrid airport and connect to Seville by train.

To check the best options for travel, try using sites like Skyscanner.net and/or Rome2Rio.com. As city center where we accommodate our participants is only a 25-minute taxi from the airport. The airport also offers a bus service. Taxis from the airport are a fixed rate but they may charge for luggage.

Ensure your passport is valid for at least 6 months beyond your travel dates. Visa requirements vary by country and nationality. We recommend checking with your local embassy or consulate for the latest travel advisories.

It’s always good to have at least a little cash with you when you travel but rest assured – there are plenty of ATMs at the airports and the city center that you can use should you need additional cash. As a rule of thumb, when I arrive at a destination I tend to have the equivalent of between 50-100 euros of cash in whatever the local currency. The amount of money you may spend on your trip depends on you. You may wish to purchase souvenirs to take home and while the majority of vendors at the local market accept credit and debit cards even for the smallest amounts, some may still prefer cash.

A deposit is typically required to secure your spot, with full payment due prior to the tour start date. Cancellations received up to a certain period may be eligible for a refund or credit, as detailed in our terms and conditions. Due to numerous upfront costs, the initial deposit is non-refundable but can be transferred to a future date if you need to postpone (based on price and availability). We also offer a payment plan to help you better budget for your trip. For the full book terms, please click here. For our cancelation policy click here.

As you are booking with a registered Spanish travel agency, your booking is insured in the event that anything should happen to the company. However, this does not cover your personal travel or expenses related to your trip. We highly advise that you also look into comprehensive travel insurance. US and Canadian travelers can use this Insurance comparison website to find what works for their trip. For Australians, click here. For the UK, click here. Please note that we are not personally affiliated with any one insurance comparator or company. We just want you to be safe and to have peace of mind.

You’ll enjoy 4 hours of daily Spanish immersion, integrated into real-life experiences: 2 hours in the morning and 2 in the afternoon, always related to the cultural and culinary activities.

Yes, this experience is designed for adult learners who want to improve their Spanish through food, culture, and real communication.
