LET’S EAT SEVILLE! Una Fiesta in Andalusia – Cooking holidays in Spain

Let’s Eat Seville is an 8-day*, 7-night culinary holiday in Seville for food and wine lovers who want culture to feel lived-in, not staged. Andalusia shows itself through everyday rituals: morning markets, long lunches, tiled courtyards, and the late-night pull of flamenco. Seville gives you the rhythm. Food gives you the key.

Created by Let’s Eat The World founder Yetunde Oshodi-Fraudeau, this week balances hands-on cooking with guided exploration. You will cook, yes. You will also walk through history with expert guides, taste sherry where it is made, and spend time in places that explain why Andalusian life feels so distinct.

In the kitchen, Chef Samuel Rubio Ortega brings professional training and international experience to the kind of Spanish home cooking locals actually eat. The focus is not complicated spice blends or showy technique. It is local ingredients, smart combinations, and methods that make weekday food taste like something you want to repeat at home. You leave with new confidence, not just a full camera roll.

Group size stays small, with a maximum of 7 participants. That keeps the pace relaxed and the experience personal, from the market to the table.

What to expect from your cooking holiday in Seville, Spain

You will take part in four hands-on Spanish cooking classes, including tapas and classic Andalusian dishes. You will also experience Seville beyond the plate, with guided visits that bring the city’s Islamic, royal, and everyday stories into focus. A day trip to Jerez de la Frontera adds the wine culture, with sherry tastings and a bodega visit that make the region’s traditions come together.

Flamenco is part of the week, both as an art form to appreciate and as a cultural thread that helps you understand Andalusia’s emotional language. Food stays at the heart of the program, but Seville sets the rhythm.

If you have extra days in Andalusia, it is worth extending your stay. We are happy to share suggestions based on your interests and timing.

*8 days includes 6 full days + 2 half-days (arrival welcome and departure-day breakfast)

You may also fly directly into Seville Airport (SVQ), which is approximately 25 minutes from the city center by taxi. Málaga Airport (AGP) is another possibility, though it requires additional onward travel time.

Taxis from Seville Airport operate at a fixed rate, and public bus service is also available.

We recommend checking with your local consulate or official government sources for the most up-to-date entry requirements before booking.

Spain — and Seville in particular — is very card-friendly. You can pay by card for almost everything, even very small amounts, including at most cafés, shops, taxis, and many market stalls.

That said, it’s still useful to carry a small amount of cash for occasional situations where it may be preferred, such as a few market vendors or personal purchases during free time.

ATMs are widely available at airports and throughout Seville. As a general guideline, arriving with the equivalent of €30–€50 in cash is more than sufficient for the week.

How much you spend beyond that is entirely up to you and depends on personal shopping, souvenirs, or extra treats.
